Addison Jaffa received many compliments on the appearance of her long hair.
One day, her mother Cheryl discussed how people with long hair often donate their "locks" to Locks for Love to help those in need.
"Addison felt bad that some little girls had lost all of theirs, and her hair would help them feel confident again," said Cheryl.
Cheryl said she was about Addison's age when she donated her own hair as well as Aunt Stefanie to "Locks for Love."
Addison decided to grow her hair and eventually donated 12 inches of her hair to "Locks for Love."
A third grade student at Coolidge Elementary School, Addison is enjoying her shorter hair but says she will "definitely start growing it again."
